Founder

With an underlying passion to improve the quality of Singapore's local produce, Leonard founded Straits Agriculture with the aim of growing healthier and tastier produce through the experimentation of new technology. He hopes to increase people’s awareness and understanding of the difficulties of farming by reconnecting consumers to farms and farmers. He feels that this will help to raise the level of respect we have for our food, so as to reduce food waste. Leonard also believes farms play a crucial role in promoting sustainability to tackle climate change and our declining environmental situation.

Leonard obtained a Diploma in Aerospace Technology from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 2019 and is currently an undergraduate at Nanyang Technological University. He firmly believes that his engineering background has helped him to solve many problems, both technical and systemic, during the farm's early experimental phase.
